It starts from the cited OEWS base wage for the trade SOC and metro you pick, then you layer on your own payroll taxes, workers' comp, insurance, PTO, tools and overhead — each with a Yes/No entered? flag so nothing is silently assumed. It computes your fully-loaded hourly rate and burden percentage, and rolls the loaded rate across your crew into a single bid labor line. The base wage is the only figure the product asserts; it is loaded from BLS OEWS and carries its source. Every burden component, and therefore every loaded rate, is your own number.
